About RVCF

Who We Are and What We Do

The Retail Value Chain Federation (RVCF) is a neutral, independent retail organization that facilitates trading partner collaboration to enable industry wide growth and profitability. We promote best practices, industry initiatives and collaborative solutions that make it possible for retailers and suppliers to optimize supply chain operations and meet the ever-increasing expectations of the end consumer. RVCF draws participation from both retailers and merchandise suppliers along with the service providers that support them.

The origins of RVCF can be traced back to the Vendor Compliance Federation (VCF), which was created in 1999 to help merchandise suppliers improve supply chain operations and meet retailer compliance requirements. As the industry evolved, support and participation from retail organizations grew, and VCF membership became more diverse. Recognizing the fact that real progress could only be achieved by bringing more people to the table, VCF became the Retail Value Chain Federation in 2013.

Today, RVCF continues to help retailers and suppliers build stronger relationships so all parties benefit. We take pride in the fact that RVCF Spring and Fall Conferences are second to none when it comes to face-to-face collaboration and networking. In addition to providing access to peers and trading partners, we educate our members about best practices, new research, the latest trends, and innovative technology. Our consulting services and online tools improve operational efficiency, the speed and quality of communication, and the quality and accuracy of data.

In a nutshell, RVCF is driven by the needs and best interests of our members. Our mission is to increase collaboration between retailers, suppliers and service providers so all industry stakeholders have the knowledge and tools they need to become more profitable.
