Improve Scorecarding Processes to Improve Supplier Performance
Retail scorecards are an important tool for understanding, measuring and managing supplier performance.
Almost every large retailer today has fully integrated their scorecarding process into their supplier management strategy. However, scorecarding can and does vary significantly in both the scope and depth of performance reporting.
While most scorecards are rooted in supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs), many of today's scorecarding initiatives are more holistic and include KPIs from beyond the supply chain perspective. This provides trading partners with a more complete understanding of supplier performance and contribution.
These scorecards are "works in progress." As people, processes, and system capabilities expand and become more sophisticated, so do the capabilities and completeness of the scorecard.
We have assembled a collection of real-world examples of retail scorecards that are available only to RVCF members. Our goal is to increase awareness and knowledge of the types of reporting that are being used today and help our members derive more value from their scorecarding processes.
